HANGING OUT WITH CAITLIN
This month’s spotlight is overflowing with smiles from Caitlin Elliott. As a Customer Service lead with Innovative Funding Services (IFS), Caitlin has the natural ability to make those around her feel supported and encouraged. From working as a manager in retail, volunteering at battered women shelters, being a major league gamer, and studying psychology, Caitlin has had many accomplishments at a young age. We look forward to watching her accomplish the rest of her goals, which we are certain she will.
Getting to Know Caitlin
What is your title at IFS?
Customer Service Lead.
How long have you been employed with IFS?
Since March 2nd of 2014.
What do you like the most about IFS?
Honestly, helping people. Just assisting.
Is there a fond or funny IFS memory or story you’d like to share?
Yep- “What is Equifax?” story. One morning Fernando and I were on the phone- when going through the criteria, the customer stopped after the credit score and said “What is Equifax?”. After explaining they are a credit bureau and disconnecting the call, Fernando and I had a discussion about that, he said he also had someone who asked “Who is Equifax?” So it’s an inside joke over in customer service “What is Equifax?” “Who is Equifax?” and “Where is Equifax?”
What is your professional history with cars?
I used to work for a company called DealerSource—they did the leather installation for vehicles. Other than that job, cars have been a fascination for me.
What is your dream car and why?
1966 Ford Mustang – black on black. Who doesn’t love old school vehicles?!
What was your first car?
First car I drove—2003 Mazda Protégé ; My actual first car- 2008 Nissan Sentra. Neither of which I own anymore.
Do you have any secret talents?
I used to be a MLG (Major League Gamer)- I’m really good at videogames- in specific, Halo.
What is a personal motto or mantra that you live by?
I have a few— “Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience.” By Ralph Waldo Emerson is one of my favorites.
What are you the most proud of?
I’m proud of a lot. I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Life is never easy, for anyone. So just getting through each day with a smile, is a big enough accomplishment.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
To visit Paris, I would love to see the love lock bridge- unfortunately, it is no longer there after May 20th of 2015. Cliff Diving. Visit Rio De Janeiro and Tokyo and their sites.
Lease or buy?
I prefer to purchase over leasing. It’s more direct.
Have you ever leased a vehicle?
I had a chance to lease my Mustang and decided to purchase instead.
Have you ever refinance a vehicle?
I haven’t refinanced a vehicle before, I’m sure at some point in my life I will.
